Gender Pay Gap Analysis
We are pleased to confirm that for comparable roles, there is pay equity across genders, and we have an annual review process to audit all remuneration for pay equity and industry alignment.
As per WGEA guidelines, Gender Pay Gap is calculated by taking the average earnings of men across all roles, less the average earning of women across all roles, and then divided by the average number of men. If the result is a positive percentage, this indicates that men are on average paid more than women, and therefore a negative percentage indicates that women are on average paid more than men, and 0 indicates parity. Several factors can therefore impact a positive or negative percentage, such as an imbalance of gender within the industry and workforce composition, i.e. a disproportionate number of men in senior roles or more women in lower paid roles; to name two. This is therefore different to Pay equity, which relates to the earnings of men and women within the same role.
According to the analysis completed by WGEA, Aurora Dairies Gender Pay Gap is currently at 7.9%, pleasingly below the Comparison Group which is 13.3% (Comparison Group includes other Commonwealth public sector agencies within the same employee size range) and below the national average across industries is at 21.8%.
Group | Gender Pay Gap |
Aurora Dairies Pty Ltd | 7.9% |
Comparative Group | 13.3% |
National Average | 21.8% |
The WGEA data illustrates that Aurora Dairies has a disproportionate concentration of men in upper quartile and women in lower quartile positions, which results in the Gender Pay Gap noted above.
At present our gender composition at Aurora Dairies is currently at 25% Women and 75% Men. We recognise the ongoing commitment and efforts to not only attract and retain women, but also to support women into more senior roles.
